This Blog is about college football over under
-------------------------------
For fans of the college football betting odds, this really is the most wonderful time of the year. Teams are just weeks away from reporting to fall camp, and kickoff is closing in on less than a month.
With that, it’s never too early to look at some prop bets. Today we’ll look at the over/under regular season win totals of some of the sport’s top teams.

Boise State- Over 11 Regular Season Wins (+105) or Under 11 Regular Season Wins (-135): After another undefeated season and BCS bowl win, the Boise State Broncos are once again the darlings of the college football world. And they might take it one step further in 2010, as they welcome back 20 starters from a team that went 14-0 last season. Will they play for a National Championship this year?
When looking at this over/under what your decision essentially comes down to is this: Do you think the Broncos can beat Virginia Tech on Labor Day night? If they do, they’ll likely once again run the table in the regular season. If they don’t, you’ll have lost this wager before the season is really even under way.
In this writer’s opinion, take the OVER. The Broncos live for big games and big stages, as we learned when they beat Pac-10 champ Oregon in last season’s opener, and then followed it up with their bowl victory over TCU. With months to prepare for Virginia Tech, they’ll be ready, and when they do get that win, won’t look back.
Oklahoma- Over 10 ½ Regular Season Wins (+105) or Under 10 ½ Regular Season Wins (-135): After watching Texas dominate the Big XII South on the way to the BCS National Championship game, Oklahoma fans believe it’s their turn to return to the top of the conference. The Sooners welcome back key players, including quarterback Landry Jones, who got plenty of on the job training last year, when Sam Bradford went down.
However, what no one seems to be talking about are the heavy losses Oklahoma suffered on defense. Gone are stalwarts Gerald McCoy, Austin Box and Ryan Reynolds amongst others.
Because of it, take the UNDER in the college football betting odds. The Sooners will be improved in 2010, but 11 wins is a lot to ask for.
Florida State- Over 8 Regular Season Wins (+105) or Under Regular Season Wins (-135): One of Oklahoma’s regular season opponents will be these Florida State Seminoles, who’ll be playing their first season without Bobby Bowden on their sideline in over a quarter of a century.
Don’t feel too bad for new coach Jimbo Fisher though, as he inherits quite a bit of talent. The Seminoles return All-ACC caliber quarterback Christian Ponder, as well as all five starters on the offense line. And playing in the less competitive ACC Atlantic Division, they avoid fellow conference heavyweights Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech on their schedule.
It’ll be a great first season for new coach Jimbo Fisher in Tallahassee. And it’ll be a great season for you too, if you take the OVER in this bet.
